    Product description

This yoga mat is made of 100% pure new wool and is wonderfully soft. The mat is also very insulating and keeps the cold from the subfloor at bay. This yoga mat is very suitable for quiet forms of yoga, such as Yin yoga and Kundalini yoga. In addition, a new wool yoga mat is also ideal as a mat under a meditation cushion, for extra softness and warmth during meditation.

This sheep wool is a natural product that has only been washed and not chemically treated. The bottom consists of a rough 80% natural latex that prevents slipping. The mat is finished with a luxurious piping, which makes the mat extra sturdy and looks chic.

    Size: 200cm x 75cm x 2cm
    Weight: 2.6kg

    Material

100% pure new wool (Oeko-Tex standard). Fairly and lovingly produced in Germany

    Maintenance instructions

This virgin wool yoga mat can be washed by hand at max. 30º. Do not tumble dry but hang to dry.

    Sustainability and animal welfare

Our virgin wool yoga mats are made from the highest quality Merino virgin wool.

The new wool comes from the South Island of New Zealand, where the Merino sheep have excellent living conditions, roam freely on large sheep farms and are collected once a year for shearing. The sheep farming there takes place without the controversial mulesing and all our raw wool is certified accordingly. We expressly distance ourselves from this practice and obtain our wool exclusively from mulesing-free farms on the South Island of New Zealand (4% of global wool production), which produce the highest wool quality in international comparison with the best possible animal welfare.

Unfortunately, German or European wool is not soft and fine enough for our virgin wool yoga mats. We find that a great pity, because we would like to use Swabian wool! The European wool is mainly processed for wool felt, knitting wool and sweaters or as filling material such as our virgin wool balls.

More a 4,5 star. It lacks some rubber underlayer for old knees. Otherwise, I love the feeling and smell of this mat.

I wasn't sure about this but it is perfect. I use it for meditation, yin, and gentle restorative yoga. It's got great grip so it has been great for standing poses, too. I love it.
