Maintenance

We recommend the special Manduka Natural Rubber Mat Wash for cleaning a rubber mat. These sprays are gentle on your yoga mat and are free of phosphate, alcohol, and bleach. They contain vinegar for disinfection and preserving the color of your yoga mat, and essential oils with antibacterial and therapeutic properties.
With rubber mats it is very important to keep them away from sunlight, both direct and indirect. The UV radiation in sunlight attacks the rubber and causes it to discolour and dry out. In addition, it is also wise not to expose your mat to extremely high temperatures. 

Sustainability

Manduka believes it is important to produce responsibly and consciously. That is why they use recycled polyester, cotton or other natural fibers for their products. This is less harmful to the environment and is comfortable and safe for the body.

  Ik heb dit matje gekocht omdat ik wegglij op de studiomatten (Manduka ProLites); dit is echt een hele verbetering. Ik heb behoorlijk klamme handjes en in dit jaargetijde (veel verkouden) zelfs snel klammige voeten. Met dit matje staan mijn voeten als een huis, en zijn mijn handen stabiel. Eerlijk is eerlijk: die handen voelen nog wel eens alsof ze willen gaan glijden in downward dog, maar dat is eigenlijk altijd op te lossen met wat extra aandacht voor de uitvoering van de asana. Als matje alleen doet 'ie het prima, maar is 'ie wel wat dun. Wat wil je ook met een reismatje. Als ik nou echt een nadeel móet noemen, is het dat het rubber zó sticky is, dat stof van je handen en voeten of pluisjes van je sokken er makkelijk aan blijven kleven. Dat gaat er makkelijk af met water of een azijn/watermix. Ik ben dus supertevreden, en ben zó blij met deze mat, dat ik excuses zit te verzinnen om de 4mm EkoLite te kopen. Aanrader dus!
