    Product description

Drinking from a copper cup is an important aspects of an Ayurvedic health routine. Ayurveda recommends drinking water from copper vessels, and modern science supports many of the health benefits.

Copper is an essential trace mineral of the body and is difficult to supplement in the diet as foods that contain copper only provide a small amount. When drinking water from a copper water cup, the water absorbs the copper and its nutrients. Benefits that have been studied include: improved immunity and digestion, increased metabolism, and balance pH levels. In addition, scientific studies have shown that copper removes bacteria and impurities from water through its antimicrobial properties.

Forrest & Love copper cups and bottles are made from 99.7% pure copper and produced in a family-owned workshop in India.

    Cleaning and maintenance

Do not clean your copper cup in the dishwasher but rinse it with water and, if necessary, a mild soap. For a more thorough clean, you can also use lemon juice and a bit of salt.

Over time, copper can produce a natural patina. This is not rust and completely harmless. If you would like to remove this, you can use a copper polish or mild detergent and a soft cloth. Wash the bottle with soap and water before using it again. Lemon juice also works great and is completely natural!
